It was 30 years ago the largest Tamil library in the world and the largest library in South Asia which is situated in Jaffna was burned by one group of Sinhala Racists with the support and guidance of ruling party and police. At the time the library was containing around 98,000 books and Very rare Tamils scripts written on Palm leaves. And that was giving knowledge to millions of Sri Lankan Tamils and they considered it as the symbol of their unique culture, traditions and knowledge.
